I have always had a passion for electronics. As much as I wanted to master the guitar, I always found myself more interested in the technological side of it all. There was nothing more exciting than buying a broken vintage pedal and being able to dissect and fix it. I would find obscure schematics from the 60’s & 70’s of pedals I could never have in my hands and would recreate them to capture the sounds I knew they were capable of making.

While we would be flattered if you considered your OSFX pedal a collector’s item, it’s safe to show your pedal off to the big bad world. Housed in sturdy metal enclosures, our pedals have withstood world tours and questionable trips to dive bars. All Old School FX pedals carry a lifetime warranty against workmanship for the original owner. This warranty is voided by any modification and is not transferable in any way. While most of our pedals are based on classic analog effect circuits, each design undergoes a meticulous process of development to maximize both musicality and usability. New designs are also tested on stage and in the studio by our most discerning users so that every element is carefully and intentionally selected for its individual contribution to the voicing, clipping, filtering, and tone stacking of the whole unit. Paired with responsive and intuitive controls, each Old School FX circuit offers a singular palette of sound that is equally accessible by both beginners and seasoned professionals alike.

Believe it or not, we’re not in the business of selling pedals. Old School FX is in the business of selling great tone. We strive to provide detailed descriptions along with accurate sound and video clips so that you can be confident in your pedal purchase.
